Meet the Team: Dr Jamie Reilly

Dr. Jamie Reilly is a postdoctoral researcher in NUIG Galway. Prior to joining the CELLIMAGE project, Jamie undertook his PhD in Regenerative Medicine in REMEDI, where he used bioinformatics to analyze molecular pathways in cellular and animal models of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Jamie attended Trinity College Dublin (TCD) for his undergraduate degree in Genetics, and has a Masters in Biotechnology from Queens University Belfast.(QUB).

"I believe CELLIMAGE is important because it will address a key bottleneck for MSC-based therapies by reducing long and technically complex assays for routine assessment of MSC therapeutic potential.

I also hope that the pipeline that is created for MSCs can be extended to examining other cell types which could not benefit not only the scientific community but also the clinical and medical communities as well.”
